Eudora Miao

Program Associate

Coming from Sichuan, southwest China, Eudora loves the spicy food, mountains, and the fantastic biodiversity of her home province. She earned her B.S. in Biology and Environmental Science and Policy at Duke University, where her interest in conservation and restoration took her to many parts of the world, including doing reforestation in Costa Rica, study and researching conservation in South Africa, and interning with the Union of Concerned Scientists’ Climate and Energy team on climate change adaptation in the communities on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Prior to starting at Yale School of the Environment, she worked on land stewardship with the Aldo Leopold Foundation in Wisconsin. Now, as a first year Master of Forest Science student, she plans to research forest regeneration and restoration in the South China Karst region. She aspires toward a career that combines international conservation, reforestation, and outreach. At TFD, Eudora is excited to work on the Tree Plantations in the Landscape initiative and Climate Positive Forest Products initiative.Â
