Program Associate
Alex is a first year MEM in the People, Equity, and the Environment specialization. She is particularly focused on food and agriculture, especially through the lens of environmental justice and place-based education. She is interested in using writing and storytelling to explore humans’ connection to the natural world.
Before starting at YSE, Alex worked for a nonprofit in Chicago in the sustainable farming and food justice sphere, and also has experience working in charter schools, environmental education, and on farms.
Alex earned her B.A. in environmental studies with a concentration in environmental justice and a certificate in education studies from Yale College in 2020.
