Kittisak is the current chairperson of AIPP. He has worked to promote and advocate for indigenous peoples’ rights since 1989. His main focus is on indigenous peoples’ rights to land and resources. He has closely worked with indigenous peoples at local, national, regional and international level on impact of protected areas to indigenous communities. He has also followed up on climate change negotiation and implementation of REDD+ or reducing emission from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries particularly on safeguards and full and effective participation of indigenous peoples. He has a master degree on Sustainable Land Use and Natural Resource Management from Chiang Mai University in Thailand.
