Yuuko’s responsiblities at Sumitomo Forestry include strategic planning and management of climate-related issues (SBT/TCFD) as part of the mid-term sustainability targets, ESG disclosure, ISO14001, supply chain management (wood procurement due diligence) and other sustainability-related issues.  She also oversees the Company’s philanthropic programs including the reforestation volunteering program of the 90-hectare national forest at the foot of Mt. Fuji and also at Higashimatsuhima City, where severely hit by the tsunami from the Great East Japan Earthquake.
