Nick is a Master of Environmental Management candidate at the Yale School of the Environment. He joined TFD in 2021 and is supporting the Forests and Climate, Climate Positive Forest Products, Water, and Indonesia Land Use Dialogue initiatives.
Before starting at TFD, Nick spent 8 years living in Kenya and India where he managed UNFCCC carbon programs, working with microfinance and clean energy partners in India, Kenya, Uganda, and Mongolia. Prior to his work in clean energy and carbon, Nick lived in the Peruvian Amazon where he worked alongside indigenous communities on agricultural projects. He earned his BA in Latin American studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010.
Nick is excited to learn about inclusive strategies to engage communities in conservation, restoration, and sustainable use of tropical forests, and ultimately hopes to leverage innovative pathways for managing and financing community-based programs across the tropics.
