TFD’s Response to Recent Activities Related to Racial Injustice

10 June 2020

The  Forests Dialogue is an inclusive multi-stakeholder forum that seeks to ensure forested landscapes worldwide are used to enhance social, environmental and economic values for all. We note with shock and deep regret the murder of George Floyd and other recent incidents of racism and violence that have sparked protests in the USA and many other countries. We stand along-side all those who call for an end to laws, policies, practices, and systems that discriminate against persons or groups on the basis of race, colour, ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Such discrimination should play no part in civilised society. We likewise commit to review and improve our own practices and policies to end all such discrimination in our work and in our organization. Let us use this tragic but historical moment to forge a better world.
