The Forests Dialogue (TFD) and the New Generation Plantations (NGP) platform hosted an international field dialogue on Tree Plantations in the Landscape (TPL) in Brazil from March 12 - 16, 2018. This dialogue meeting on Tree Plantations in the Landscape was the first effort in a partnership with the New Generation Plantations (NGP) platform, launched ten years ago by WWF with the participation of many companies and government forest departments that manage plantations.
This Review from The Forests Dialogue (TFD) seeks to share and synthesize the experiences of TFD dialogue participants, thought leaders, and partner organizations with community engagement in forest landscapes.
The second Tanzania Land Use Dialogue (LUD) in the Ihemi Cluster revisited and expanded upon the issues, challenges and priority actions of the previous year’s LUD, also held in the Ihemi Cluster, Southern Tanzania. It was co-organized by The Forests Dialogue, The Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT), IUCN’s Sustainability and Inclusion Strategy for Growth Corridors in Africa (SUSTAIN-Africa), and IUCN International.
Leaders from around the world - the Steering Committee of the TFD - will be visiting Yale FES from February 20-24th. The week kicks off with an FES-wide cocktail reception Monday 6-7:30PM in Kroon.
